Part 3: Roaming Out of the Boundaries

We visited Chichen Itza and saw some ancient Mayan ruins. This is one of the grandest - their temple. Looking at these eroded stone structures might not seem like a lot of fun, especially in such a hot and humid region. But by listening to the tourguide, I learned that their history is actually quite interesting.

On our way back, there were several stalls selling souvenirs, magnets, figurines, and all sorts of stuff. Kitty wanted to examine them more closely.

Kitty does look smashing with a sombrero, right?

Wow.. look at those bracelets. I can't believe these were handmade.

This was at a nearby cenote, or spring. People were allowed to dive and swim, but I opted out. Who knows what's in that murky water?

Fancy fruit carvings at a restaurant we ate at....

Don't wait for the last part! Upcoming is Part 4!
